Carles Tusquets, chairman of the Barcelona Management Committee, said in an interview that he would arrange the election of the new chairman as soon as possible and that he would try his best to remedy the team's poor economic situation.
"We are the club that relies on tourism most in Europe, but now there is no tourism industry." Tusquets told reporters: "We will hold elections as soon as possible, but there will be no pressure. We hope to get the greatest participation."
"We have decided not to hire resigned board members in the committee. The club’s financial situation is not good, and we will try our best to remedy it. We will be responsible for all the work of the club before the new Barcelona board members are elected."
